Superlega. 1st round. Victory for all the favorites.

All the favorites in the race for the title have opened the season in Serie A1 in a really good way. The Fantastic four of the Italian championship Civitanova, Perugia, Modena and Trentino have scored 3-0 victories each, without having any difficulties. All easy matches for these team.
Wilfredo Leon was the MVP of the match and led the reigning champions Perugia with 17 points (5 aces) while Aleksandar Atanasijevic added 15 in the match against Latina, where Simone Parodi was the top scorer with 10 points.
Uros Kovacevic with 19 points and Aaron Russell with 18 points were instead the best players in Trentino’s victory over Siena, where Fernando Hernandez ended the match with 13 points.
Lube Civitanova have scored the victory away, led by Osmany Juantorena with 18 points and Yoandy Leal with 12.
Tine Urnaut with 17 points and Ivan Zaytsev with 15 have made the Modenaā€™s victory against Sora, where Dusan Petkovic was the only player with a double-digit display: 11 points.
Excellent match for Stephen Boyer, which had a really good display in Verona’s away victory, scoring 24 points, while his teammate Sebastian Sole added 17. Donovan Dzavoronok was the top scorer in Monza’s team with 20 points.
The absolut top scorer of the Superlega first round is coming from the match between Vibo Valentia and Castellana: It’s the Bulgarian spiker Todor Skrimov, who scored 27 points in a great 3-1 victory of his team.
