France: day 2. Results and Stats

Journée 2. What happened? Rennes and Poitiers share top position.
After two rounds of the French volleyball championship, two teams have singled out with two straight victories on the standing’s top.
Rennes have scored his second victory, beating also Tourcoing in straight sets 3-0 (31-29, 25-23, 25-22). Bram Van den Dries with 18 points and Kamil Baranek with 15 points were the top scorers of the match.
Victory also for Poitiers against Nantes away in four sets 25-19, 25-22, 20-25, 25-16. Jochen Schops played a high level match with 21 points, while Menelaos Kokkinakis added 16 and Zouheir El Graoui 15. In the home team, Peter Michalovic was the top scorer of the match with 25 points.
Led by excellent Irfan Hamzagic, who scored 30 points, Cannes have scored the first victory, beating Montpellier 3-2. Jean Patry was the best scorer on away side, and scored 24 points.
The reigning champions Tours have suffered his first defeat. Milan Pepic was the top player in Ajaccio’s win over Tours, ending the match with 27 points. Toulouse win against Narbonne in straight sets, while Chaumont-Sete will play on Tuesday November, 20.
