Glenn Hoag replaces Antiga at helm of Canadian national team.
1 min readAfter leaving the Canadian national team in 2016, Glenn Hoag is ready to take over the team in 2019 again! He will replace Stephane Antiga at the helm of the team.
“I have a strong connection to the menās team, and Iām looking forward to building on the progress made since 2016 under Stephaneās direction… The next two years are crucial and will require a lot of work, but I have confidence in the staff, including assistant coach Dan Lewis, and the players that we are all focused on the goal of qualification and strong performances on the world stage” says Hoag.
At the Olympic Games 2016, Glenn finish as a fifth-placed team. Over the past two years, the menās team finished third 2017 World League and seventh in 2018 Volleyball nations League and ninth in the recent FIVB Menās World Championship.
“Glenn has successfully worked with the program as a coach since 2006 and resuming duties as head coach will ensure continuity until Tokyo 2020. The next 18 months will be an exciting time for the menās program” said Julien Boucher, Volleyball Canadaās indoor high-performance director.
