1 min read

Anastasi lead Belgium after this year’s World Championship in Italy, where the Red Dragons finished the competition in 10th place.
On his Instagram account he wrote: “Dear Volleyball Friends from Belgium, I am really sad to inform you that I took a decision to not continue a work as a head coach of the fantastic “Red Dragons” with whom I played the 2018 season and the World Championship in Italy.
This difficult decision was made by me due the personal reasons, which will not allow me to stay at complete disposal of the Belgian national team.
It was a great summer, when I have a chance to work with all this fantastic players and my amazing staff. This work gave me a lot – both from professional and human point of view.
I would like to thank You to all people work in Federation, all my players and staff for the trust in myself and all the support that they gave me, also that I can share with them this adventure.
I hope in the future I will be able to work again with “Red Dragons”, but now I can assure you that I am staying as a big fan of this team.
Kind Regards, Andrea Anastasi.”
