#Superlega: Summary of Round 18.

Lube end Trento’s 20-game winning streak, Modena and Perugia won in straight sets respectively against Latina and Siena, victory also for Verona in four sets over Sora, and a super Vibo Valentia won against Ravenna.
So, a 20-game winning run of Trento counting all competions has come to an end: Lube Civitanova have managed to defeat the Angelo Lorenzetti’s team and to score an important victory in the race for the top position.
After two sets, it was a tight game 1-1 (20-25, 25-23). However, in the next two sets, Civitanova played much better than the rival, controlling the situation on the court, without giving the rival that much space to stay in race to fight for the victory. Mvp of the match was (deservedly) Sokolov. The Lube Civitanova’s opposite scored 22 points and was also top scorer of the match, while Juantorena contributed with 16.

Modena and Perugia also scored the victories. Modena defeated Latina in straights sets without any difficult, and Siena couldn’t do anything against Perugia, which won with the same result. Atanasijevic was the MVP of this match scoring 22 points in three sets!
Very important victory for Verona, that have ended the 18th round with a 3-1 win over Sora to keep close to the 5th place. Kazyiski played another superb match and was author of 16 points, like his team mate Manavinezhad. Once again, the great performance of Petkovic (28 points) wasn’t enough for Sora.
Closes this round 18 the victory of Vibo Valentia against Ravenna in four sets. Great team performance for the hosts who have won three important points led by Kadu, mvp and top scorer of the match with 18 points, and Al Hachdadi who contributed with 16.
