Poland: Warszawa outplay Resovia prolonging rival’s losing streak to 4 matches

VERVA Warszawa ORLEN Paliwa beat Asseco Resovia Rzeszów in the big match of the eighth round of the 2019/20 PlusLiga regular season.
One of the most popular clubs in Europe, Asseco Resovia, disappointed their fans for the umpteenth time this season, suffering the fourth successive defeat and fell to 11th place in the standings out of 14 teams in the competition. This time, Warszawa was a better team than the team from Rzeszów, and won in four sets, partially 20:25, 25:22, 25:15, 25:18).
The Frenchman Kévin Tillie was the top scorer for the winners with 17 points, while Damian Schulz scored 18 points for Resovia. These three points which they collected today allowed the team coached by Italian Andrea Anastasi to preserve the second place in the charts with an 8-1 score and 22 points, just behind Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle (8-1 and 24 points).
