After several months of both speculations and official (and unofficial) information, the Iranian Volleyball Federation (IRIVF) went into public with names of main candidates to take over the bench of its men’s national team.
And they narrowed down the number of candidates to two.
Initially, Daniel Castellani, Andrea Giani, Ferdinando De Giorgi, Lorenzo Bernardi, and Vladimir Alekno were the five candidates for the post. However, after the latest meeting of the governing body of country volleyball, the joint agreement on Italian Castellani and Russian Alekno as the final two candidates was reached.
Recall that the Iran are without a head coach since parting ways with Montenegrin Igor Kolaković in March.
