Russia: three points victories for Saint Petersburg and Kazan (but with an injury…)

Two more matches of the fragmented Round 16 of the Russian Super League were played today.
Zenit St Petersburg won 3-1 in a comeback on the field of Ural Ufa. For the hosts, Muzaj lasted only one set (he was left on the bench in the fourth), while for the guests Poletaev carbureted at the distance after a difficult start and the 6 blocks each by Pashytskyy and Iakovlev completed the work.
At the same time, Zenit Kazan achieved the same result with a similar performance on the field of Neftyanik Orenburg. Losing the first set, Vladimir Alekno abandoned the idea of a turnover (Ngapeth and Butko on the field instead of Voronkov and Loran Alekno) and the game took off as expected on the eve, with a good performance by Mikhaylov. For Zenit, however, there was Volvich’s injury, forced to leave the field in the third set.
