1 min read

Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle won the 2021 Polish Volleyball Cup, or 2021 TAURON Puchar Polski.
In the final in Kraków, the team coached by Serbian expert Nikola Grbić beat Jastrzębski Węgiel in straight sets, partially 25:20, 27:25, and 25:15. ZAKSA won the trophy in the competition for the 8th time, and the 2nd time in a row (the last season’s edition wasn’t held due to the Covid-19 pandemic). Interestingly, in 3 attempts, Jastrzębski failed to overcome the Kędzierzyn-Koźle side in the decider in any of them!
ZAKSA’s outside hitter Kamil Semeniuk was awarded MVP of the match, and he was also the top scorer of his team in the final match with 14 points. Jakub Kochanowski set up 4 blocks, while Moroccan Mohamed Al Hachdadi was the top scorer for Jastrzębski with 16 points.
