The head coach of Sada Cruzeiro in the last 12 years Marcelo Méndez and brazilian club part ways.
The Argentine expert was a creator of the project of the Contagem club which resulted in 3 titles of the best club in the world, seven titles in the South American Club Championship, and 6 in the Brazilian Superliga.
All in all, upon taking over Cruzeiro in 2009, Méndez led the giants from the Minas Gerais state to lifting 39 trophies. Now, after a debacle in the first round of the 2020/21 playoffs, the Argentine left the post.
By mutual agreement, the two parties decided not to renew the contract, which ends this season.
