Italy: Milano and Padova win advances of playoffs for 5th place Round 3

Two Round 3 advances valid for a place in the next edition of the CEV Challenge Cup were played today.
Allianz Powervolley Milano struggles, but win in four sets (22:25, 20:25, 27:25, 24:26) on the field of Leo Shoes Modena, taking their third win in as many games and, interestingly, this is also their third win this season against the same rivals!
Maar, author of the latest winning block, and Patry, named MVP of the match, scored 20 and 15 points respectively and they were the key players of the match, along with 16 blocks overall for the winners.
In the other match, great success for Kioene Padova, the youngest Italian Superlega team, who clearly defeated Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia in straight sets, one of the surprises of this season. Despite the absences of Shoji (recently returned to the United States after a hand surgery), and captain Volpato (on the bench), the match was almost completely one-sided, with the hosts clearly superior in the decisive moments of the duel.
