Germany: Berlin champions of Bundesliga for 5th time in row

Berlin Recycling Volleys, who finished the regular season in 3rd place, surprisingly prevailed without lot of problems over the fiercest rivals and top-seed VfB Friedrichshafen in the playoff finals of the 2020/21 German 1. Bundesliga.
Thus they won the 11th championship title in the club’s history and the 5th in a row.
Except from Game 1, which ended in 5 sets, the team from the country’s capital didn’t have many problems to overtake the rivals in the title face-off.
Two other games ended in straight sets, including the decisive one (25:21, 25318, 25:21).
American Benjamin Patch scored 16 points for Berlin, including 4 aces, while Linus Weber put down 2 points more than the US National team member but on the losing side.
