Turkey: Fenerbahçe and Ziraat come to one point to leaders Halkbank and the others of Round 9

First six match of 2021/22 AXA Sigorta Efeler Ligi Round 9 were played on Sunday, without any direct clash among the top teams, who won.

Fenerbahçe HDI Sigorta and Ziraat Bankkart came to just one point to the leaders Halkbank which, however, played one game less than a duo.

Fenerbahçe struggled with Yeni Kızıltepe but prevailed in four sets, partially 25:17, 24:26, 25:23, and 25:19. Metin Toy top-scored the winning side with 21 points, including four aces.

Ziraat also faced underdogs and also struggled: the Ankara side, and the titleholders, beat Allpower Akü Cizre Bld. (without Coskun and without Divis) 3-1, with 23 points (five blocks) from Bulgarian Martin Atanasov.

Spor Toto notched the third win in a row: led by Iranian Morteza Sharifi (19 points, including four aces and four blocks), they proved better than Bingöl Solhan Spor – 3-0 (27:25, 25:16, 25:17), while Galatasaray (still without Subasi), defeats modest Afyon but surprisingly giving a set.
Arkas Izmir was the only
team to lose a point, by winning only at tie break on the field of Sorgun.
Waiting for postponement of today, closed the picture Altekma’s victory (still without Luan Weber) in direct clash against Tokat.
