4 min read

Four matches of 2021/22 SuperLega Credem Banca Round 19 or, if you prefer, Round 6 of second leg were played today.

In first scheduled match, newcomers Gioiella Prisma Taranto won at tie break on the field of Kioene Padova (21:25, 18:25, 25:21, 25:17, 12:15) in a direct clash for salvation.
For the winners, this is second victory in a row (3 in last four matches) while Padova, from 0-2 to 2-2 before surrender at tie break, slip in the lower part of the current charts.
Taranto is better in attack, 49% vs. 45%, Padova in reception: 45% positive, vs. 40% of the guests, better also in blocking, 8 (6 by Di Martino) vs. 6.
From the service line, Padova scores 12 aces, 6 by Weber, but with 24 errors, Taranto more balanced, with 12 errors and 4 aces.
Top scorer of the match was Linus Weber, who ended the match with 26 points, 6 aces, 2 winning blocks and 51% in attack, but he wasn’t enough for the hosts.
MVP of a match closed with a block by Dosanjh over Bottolo, was Taranto’s setter Marco Falaschi.

In the big match, Sir Safety Conad Perugia overcame Allianz Milano in 4 sets (21:25, 19:25, 25:23, 20:25), recording their first win in 2022. The winners are now 7 points ahead of Lube, but the side commanded by Gianlorenzo Blengini has one fewer match played. MVP of the match Matt Anderson with 20 points, 2 winning blocks and 2 aces.
Only downside for the winners was Massimo Colaci’s injury in last third set, a shoulder problem due a clash with Leon.

Three points also for Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia, who back to the victory after over one and a half month, by beating in four sets on the field of last-placed Consar RCM Ravenna (21:25, 19:25, 25:23, 22:25).
MVP of the match on the day of his 22th birthday Nishida, author of 28 points.

Itas Trentino excel in 2022, achieving the 6th consecutive win in all competition since the year began, and 7 wins in a row in total. Today Angelo Lorenzettiā€™s guys beat Vero Volley Monza on the road with a score of 3-1 (25:23, 13:25, 21:25, 20:25), remaining 3rd in the standings, and leveling with vice-leaders Cucine Lube Civitanova at 37 points.
After a first set very balanced, won by the hosts, Trento grow up and start to play another game, made of a great efficiency in attack (56% at the end of the match), but also in blocking and defense.
Decisive to take all the three points are the 17 points by Kaziyski (MVP of the match with 59% in attack), but also the great performance of Michieletto (18 points, 67% in attack and two aces, including the one who closed the game) and Lavia (top scorer with 20).
