The Civitanova side committed too many direct errors (39 compared to Modena’s 25) and for them, this was a heavy defeat in the race for 2nd place that also sees Itas Trento, given that the two are still tied at 51 points and moreover, lost Yant for a knee injury under the net in second set, forcing coach Blengini to put on the field Gabi Garcia.
The top spot, on the other hand, truly seems impossible for the titleholders right now given -10 in relation to absolute leaders Sir Safety Conad Perugia!
The Dutchman Nimir Abdel-Aziz stood out in the team commanded by Andrea Giani today with 19 points.
