It seems that the negotiations about the organization of the 2022 CEV Volleyball Champions League Super Finals arenât going in a good direction.
The Italian federation showed the most interest to organize the event, trying to bring it, both menâs and womenâs finals in consecutive days that was introduced in 2019, to Milan.
However, the negotiations are going slow, and thereâs a strong possibility that the Champions League finals, like the finals of other European Cups, will be played in a classic form with home and away matches.
Such a formula hasnât been seen for decades in the most elite club competition in Europe.
First, Final Four was introduced to replace the semi-finals and finals and then Super Finals were put into action.
There were also rumors that a Final Six will replace the quarter-finals, which wouldâve been another major change of the format, but the idea was abandonedâŚ.
