1 min read

No upsets in Grand Finale of 2022/23 Coupe de France as regular season leaders Tours defeated second-to-last Nice with a score of 3-0 (25:21, 25:21, 25:18), taking the victory N.22 in 24 games played against these rivals!

Still without starting setter Javier Gonzalez, Nice also had to deal with the injury of middle-blocker Rodney Ah-Kong, who left the field in the middle of the first set due a knee injury and, although the efforts above all in first two sets, nothing to do against rivals too strong.
MVP of the final Aboubacar Drame Neto, top scorer of the game with 18 points through 48% in attack, 3 winning blocks and 1 ace, while Wilian Doardo and Luis Paolinetti scored 10 points each for Nice who, result apart, can say to have played the last game of the season head-on.

Playoffs start on Saturday, and Tours will face No.8 Montpellier, France’s defending champions!
