After dominated Arkas in the semifinal played yesterday, regular season winners Halkbank did the same also in Gran Finale of Erkekler AXA Sigorta Kupa Voley, 2022/23 Turkish Cup, with a clear victory over Fenerbahçe HDI Sigorta in just over an hour (25:21, 25:18, 25:12).
The match was marked by a great performance performances from Halkbank players, above all Thomas Jaeschke and Nimir Abdel Aziz, who scored 20 and 17 points, respectively, the first through 74% in attack. On the other side of the net, Kaan Gurbuz scored 10 points for Fenerbahçe.
Playoffs will start in the weekend with Placement Round 5/8th place on Saturday and Semifinals on Sunday, in which Halkbank will face No. 4 in regular season Arkas Izmir in a remake of semifinals of Turkish Cup, while No.2 Ziraat will face No.3 Fenerbahçe in best-of-three series.
