Italy: Perugia and Monza won their games in Round 3 for 5th Place and take the lead in the standings!

Round 3 of Playoffs 5th Place: in last home game of Main Round, Vero Volley Monza take three very important points after a straight sets win over Pallavolo Padova (25:21, 25:21, 25:22), a result that is worth almost the qualification to semifinal.
The winners took advantage from the errors of the rivals, 21 at the end of the match, and could count
on a great Grozer who, on the field from third set, scored 7 points with 50% in attack, replacing a very good Arthur Szwarc, who closed his game with 13 points, 62% in attack as well as MVP award.
Notning to do for Padova, although a good third set thanks to Gardini and Asparuhov, but the reaction wasn’t enough.
In the second game of the day, Sir Safety Susa Perugia needed five sets to defeat WithU Verona in a game with lot of ups and downs in both sides. Partially it was 25:15, 24:26, 22:25, 25:14 and 15:6.
The hosts started in a perfect way easily winning first set, but then Verona react, won the second set and take the lead. From fourth set, however, Perugia play like Perugia and managed to win the game and, consequently, to take a ticket for semifinals (only one set is enough).
To make the difference attack and blocking, with 56% efficiency to 43% in attack, and as many as 16 winning blocks to 7.
Decisive also the serve, with 4 aces only in fourth set. MVP of the day captain Wilfredo Leon who close the game with 19 points, 6 aces, 4 winning blocks and 60% in attack.
Double digit also for the two opposites Herrera (13 points through 52% in attack) and Rychlicki (10 with 60%), and for an excellent Russo, who also contributed with 15 through 77% and 5 muri winning blocks.
On the losing side, top scorer Keita, put down 20 points including 5 aces, while Mozic and Sapozhkov scored 15 and 13 points respectively.
