Third (and last) Week of 2023 Volleyball Nations League continued today with six games.
In penultimate match, world and european champions Italy inflicted first defeat to leaders and undefeated Japan, 1-3 (27:29, 26:28, 25:23, 20:25) in Pool 6 in Pasay City, Philippines. But not only as, thanks to the stop of United States against Argentina (defeated at tie-break after a resounding fourth set won by the latter 43-41) in Pool 5 in Anaheim, USA, they fly to the sefond place.
However, temporarily, as USA have to play two tamew against France and Bulgaria and, if Poland will managed to beat Japan, they will be ahead.
About the other games, in Pool 5 in USA, Germany down Cuba in straight sets, 0-3 (23:25, 23:25, 22:25) while, in the last game of the day, in European night, Serbia down Bulgaria with the same result, 0-3 (19:25, 22:25, 22:25).
In Philippines, Brazil easily down China in straight sets too (25:19, 25:17, 25:17), while Poland did the same in not easy battle against Canada (25:21, 25:23, 27:25).
