Regular season winners, able to close the game after 1 hour and 20 minutes of play, were led in score by opposite Patrick Indra, top scorer of the game with 18 points to his name through 58% in attack, 2 aces and 1 block, while Victor Cardoso also contributed with 12, 1 ace and 61% in attack.
On the other side of the net, only Danny Demyanenko reached a double digit with 12 points including 1 ace, 2 winning blocks and 69% in attack but he wasn’t enough, as the winners were better in decisive moments of the game, including in first set in which they had to recover from 18-21, and also in the very beginning of second set, when Montpellier started strong.
Tomorrow the others, including the clash between No.5 Tours and No.7 Saint Nazaire that could be worth third place in the standings!
