2023/24 Season of Turkish AXA Sigorta Efeler Ligi concluded with regular season winners Halkbank emerging as champions after a decisive victory over Fenerbahçe Parolapara.
In decisive Game 3, held at Halkbank’s home venue, TVF Ziraat Bankkart Voleybol Salonu, they secured a 3-0 sweep (25:19, 25:18, 25:19), winning the series with the same margin.
This triumph marks Halkbank’s outstanding season, earning them and also their runners-up Fenerbahçe tickets in the next season’s CEV Champions League.
Standout players from Halkbank received individual awards for their performances: Mirza Lagumdzija was named the best outside hitter (13 points today through an impressive 79% in attack, with 1 ace and 1 block), Micah Ma’a the best setter, Volkan Döne the best libero, Mert Matiç the best middle blocker, and Nimir Abdel-Aziz, today author of 19 points through 75% in attack, with 3 aces and 1 block, was celebrated both as the best opposite as well as the most valuable player of the finals.
