After two advances played yesterday, won by Barkom Każany Lwów and Indykpol AZS Olsztyn , Round 10 of 2024/25 Plusliga continued today with other three games.
The day started with last season’s runners-up Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie who literally destroyed PGE GiEK Skra Bełchatów with the score of 3-0 (25:17, 25:21, 25:20) and without major problems.
Bełchatów fought hard but couldn’t keep pace in the closing points of each set. Karol Butryn was the most prolific player of the match with 16 points to his name through 57% in attack, 1 block and 2 of his team’s 10 aces, while Mateusz Bieniek was named MVP with 11 points through 73% in attack, 1 block and 2 aces too.
In other match of the day, Bogdanka LUK Lublin claimed a 3-1 victory over newcomers Nowak-Mosty MKS Będzin (25:19, 21:25, 25:20, 25:23). Missing Wilfredo Leon, who watched the game from the bench, Będzin struggled as Lublin maintained and extended their lead in each set.
Fynnian McCarthy with 9 points, 1 ace, 3 blocks and 83% in attack was named MVP of the match.
In a major upset, Steam Hemarpol Norwid Częstochowa won on the field of PGE Projekt Warszawa with a 1-3 (20:25, 22:25, 25:19, 21:25) scoreline. Częstochowa took an early 2-0 lead, stumbled in the third set, but secured victory in the fourth one, led by Patrik Indra, who was named the MVP of the match, marking his fifth award this season.
He scored 26 points through 58% in attack, 3 aces and 1 block, well supported by Milad Ebadipour, who added 22 (56% in attack, 2 aces and 1 block).
Round 10 will continue tomorrow with other two games: PSG Stal Nysa will welcome ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle while, in the evening, Asseco Resovia Rzeszów will face Cuprum Stilon Gorzów.
