Facundo Conte retires to volleyball with final victory for Ciudad Voley

Legendary Argentine volleyball player Facundo Conte has officially ended his illustrious career, capping it with a decisive 3-0 victory for his Ciudad Voley against Vélez Sarsfield in final match.
The 35-year-old star leaves behind a legacy marked by numerous titles and achievements, in a career that has stretched over two decades, including great performances in Poland’s PlusLiga, where he won the Polish Championship (2014) with PGE Skra Bełchatów and claimed multiple Polish Cups and SuperCups.
Returning to his homeland in 2022, he led Ciudad Voley to third place in Argentina’s top league, further adding to his accolades, including two Argentine Championships and Cups in the 2023/24 season.
Also internationally, he shone brightly, earning a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and several personal honors, including MVP awards.
After Argentina’s last match at the Paris Olympic Games, Facundo Conte announced the end of his international career. He hinted at such a conclusion, marking the close of a highly successful and inspiring sport journey.
