The second set saw no turnaround, as Arkas extended their lead to 2-0. The final set sealed the end of the game, ending 25-20, handing Halkbank their second loss this season.
György Grozer delivered an outstanding performance for the winners, scoring 21 points and proving that his exceptional form. On the Halkbank side, Marek Sotola emerged as the top scorer with 13 points, while Dick Kooy also contributed with 11 points to the team’s effort.
Now alone to the top with 28 points Ziraat Bankkart, who won over On Hotels Alanya Belediyespor with the score of 3-1 (25:19, 17:25, 25:20, 25:22), while Halkbank remain behind them with 25.
At third place with 23 points Galatasaray HDI Sigorta, who easily won on the field of Spor Toto with a clean 0-3 (21:25, 20:25, 15:25), and Arkas Izmir themselves, while other results include another straight sets win, the one of Fenerbahçe Medicana over Altekma 3-0 (28:26, 25:23, 25:21), and a 2-3 (30:32, 25:21, 25:17, 17:25, 8:15) success of newcomers Istanbul Gençlik Spor on the field of Bursa Büyükşehir Belediyespor. Now, with 11 points in current charts, they are at -1 from today’s rivals, at No.9.
