Round 14 of 2024/25 Marmara Spike League started today with the advance between Toulouse and Nice, ended in four sets in favor of the home team, 3-1 (23:25, 25:14, 28:26, 25:21).
After more than 2 hours of play, the hosts canceled Nice’s 15 winning blocks (5 only for Merrick McHenry, against their 7) to celebrate a well-deserved win to temporarily fly to 5th place in the standings, led in score by Julien Winkelmuller, author of 19 points through 44% in attack and 2 blocks, and Noa Dufloss Rossi, who added 16.
Bomber Simon Hirsch also scored 19 points for Nice, but he wasn’t enough to avoid his team’s to slide to 7th place with the same number of points of Tours, who tomorrow will face last-placed Plessis-Robinson.
Round 14 will continue tomorrow with other 4 games, including the big match for third place between Poitiers and Chaumont, and will close on Sunday with the last match between Sète and Paris.
