Ślepsk Malow Suwałki dominated Trefl Gdańsk on the road in straight sets 0-3 (21:25, 21:25, 23:25).
Aliaksei Nasevich shone for the hosts early, leaving the court as top scorer for his team with 11 points to his name through 61% in attack, but unfortunately exited due to injury.
MVP Bartosz Filipiak led the winners with 20 points including 1 ace, 1 block and 55% in attack, while Joaquin Gallego added 11, including 1 ace and 5 of his team’s 10 winning blocks.
ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle triumphed on the field Cuprum Stilon Gorzów in an intense match, ended with the score of 1-3 (19:25, 20:25, 25:21, 25:27) in front of more than 5000 volleyball fans.
The hosts made a strong third-set comeback, but ZAKSA clinched the fourth in a nail-biter, led by MVP Bartosz Kurek, who left the court with 20 points to his name through 47% in attack and 1 ace, well supported by Mateusz Poręba, who added 17 including 5 winning blocks and an impressive 75% in attack.
Chizoba Neves Atu, top scorer of the game, tallied 21 (3 aces, 2 blocks and 40% in attack) for the hosts but he wasn’t enough.
Plusliga will continue tomorrow with other two games: PGE Projekt Warszawa will welcome Jastrzębski Węgiel in big match of Round 19 while, in the evening, Asseco Resovia Rzeszów will welcome Barkom Każany Lwów in a game that will close the round.
