Challenge Cup: Lublin destroy Melilla and become first semifinalist!

Bogdanka LUK Lublin is the first team to fly to 2024/25 CEV Challenge Cup semifinals after defeating CV Melilla 3-0 in the second leg of the quarterfinals.
Having already won the first match with the same result in Melilla, a Spanish settlement on Morocco’s coast, Polish powerhouse needed just two sets to secure their ticket to the next stage of the competition but, in front of their home fans, they delivered an absolutely commanding performance, closing the match in straight sets (25:19, 25:15, 25:20).
Mateusz Malinowski with 12 points including 1 ace and 67% in attack, Wilfredo Leon who added 10 points and Finnyan McCarthy with 8 points were the most prolific players for the winners, while Valentino Vidoni left the court as top scorer with 14 points for Melilla.
With this victory, Lublin moves one step closer to Challenge Cup title.
