The home team dominated the first two sets, but the visitors staged a comeback to force a decisive tie-break, clinching a well-deserved win, and extending their lead over Lublin to six points in the standings, consolidating third place in the standings with 54 points, temporarily at -1 from Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, who tomorrow will face Trefl Gdańsk.
Wilfredo Leon left the court with as many as 29 points to his name through 67% in attack, 3 aces and 8 of his team’s 11 aces for Lublin, well supported by Mikołaj Sawicki who added 21, Kewin Sasak with 14 and Aleks Grozdanov (70% in attack, 3 blocks and 2 aces), who also contributed with 11, while Bartłomiej Bołądź with 17 (43% in attack and 2 aces) closely followed by Jurij Semeniuk with 16, Artur Szalpuk with 14 and Jakub Kochanowski with 12 led the charge for the winners.
Libero Damian Wojtaszek was named MVP of the game.
Round 24 will continue tomorrow with other three games: Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie will welcome Trefl Gdańsk, Asseco Resovia Rzeszów will face Indykpol AZS Olsztyn while, in the evening, last-placed GKS Katowice will welcome Steam Hemarpol Norwid Częstochowa.
