France: Round 24 is over! Great comeback of Sète vs.Cannes. Montpellier, Tourcoing, Chaumont and Nice ok

After the advance played yesterday, in which Tours needed five sets to prevail over Paris, Round 24 of 2024/25 Marmara Spike League has been completed today with other 5 scheduled games.

The first one sweep last-placed Plessis Robinson with a clean 3-0 (25:16, 25:18, 25:19) after just 1 hour and 15 minutes of play. With an absolute better performance in all
elements, Mathis Henno led the charge with 17 points to his name through 70% in attack, 2 aces and 1 block, while Shane Holdaway and Pierre Toledo also contributed with 11 each.
Montpellier did even better on the field of Poitiers, celebrating an easy 0-3 (15:25, 16:25, 17:25) away success after just 1 hours and 10 minutes of play keeping the control of the game from start to finish, led in score by Dimitar Dimitrov and Ezequiel Palacios, who left the court with 11 points each.
Behind them at -4 Tourcoing, also victorious in straight sets against a disappointing Toulouse, 3-0 (25:18, 25:21, 25:18), in front of their home fans.
The other two games ended at tie break in favor of the visiting side.
Sète prevailed on the field of newcomers Cannes with the score of 2-3 (25:15, 25:23, 22:25, 29:31, 10:15), despite 27 points from Timo Beriot, absolute top scorer of the game also with 3 aces and 3 winning blocks. Celestin Cardin scored 19 points for the winners including 2 aces and 65% in attack, well supported by an excellent Daenan Gyimah, who added 15 through 71% in attack, 2 aces too and 3 winning blocks.

Simon Hirsch made the difference once again with 29 points to his name through 63% in attack, 2 winning blocks and 3 of his team’s 11 aces. With this win, Nice consolidated their 6th place now at -1 from No.5 Toulouse.
