TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg is official in Powerfusion VL Men’s Final Series for the second consecutive year!
Last season’s runners-up won their decisive Game 4 of semifinal on the field of SK Zadruga Aich/Dob with the score of 1-3 (24:26, 25:21, 24:26, 20:25) on Wednesday evening at JUFA Arena in Bleiburg.
Defending champions HYPO TIROL Volleyball Team had already advanced to the final on Saturday with their third dominant victory over UVC Holding Graz.
The winners made the difference Hartberg above all in blocking, scoring as many as 17 points from this element compared to the hosts’8, while Lukas Glatz was once again the most prolific player with 22 points, ahead of Tobias Willimek who added 19. Libero Matthias Glatz was named MVP, while Bryan Camino Martinez with 21 points was Aich/Dob’s most prolific player.
“Hartberg deserved to win and is rightfully in the final. Today they were significantly better than us. I’m very disappointed of my players. There’s nothing more to say,” said Aich/Dob Sports Director and coach Martin Micheu.
Game 1 of best-of-five series will take place on April 12 in Innsbruck.
