Japan: Suntory Sunbirds defend title sweeping JTEKT Stings in straight sets!

Japanese powerhouse Suntory Sunbirds Osaka did it again, clinching their 11th national title to become the first-ever champions of Japan’s revamped Daido Life SV.League.
In decisive Game 2 of best-of-three series, after winning an amazing Game 1 at tie break (partially 21:25, 21:25, 26:24, 32:30 and 26:24), the winners sweep JTEKT Stings Aichi in straight sets (29:27, 25:16, 25:22) at the packed LaLa arena TOKYO-BAY and, backed by nearly 10,000 enthusiastic volleyball fans, they took advantage by the momentum from Saturday’s comeback win to close the series.
Russian star Dmitriy Muserskiy led the charge with 21 points to his name, while Ran Takahashi and Alain De Armas also contributed with 18 and 10 respectively.
