Champions League: Second Round started today – Levski Sofia won a foce sets battle in Croatia, Dinamo Bucuresti stun Ljubljana

Second Round of 2025/26 CEV Champions League started today with first two games.
In Croatia, and more precisely at Osijek’s Nastavno-Sportska Dvorana Gradski Vrt – Small Hall, the hosts MOK Mursa Osijek surrendered to Levski Sofia from Bulgaria after five thrilling sets, partially 25:22, 23:25, 22:25, 27:25 and 14:16, despite 36 points from an almost unstoppable Leo Andrić (56% in attack and 1 ace).
The winners made the difference above all in blocking, recording 13 points from this element compared to Mursa’s 6, while Julian Weisigk was their most prolific player with 22 points with 54% attack efficiency, 1 ace and 1 block.
Strong contribute also from Todor Skrimov and Gordan Lyutskanov, who added 18 and 16 points, respectively.
Levski Sofia will host the return leg on November 12 in Bulgaria’s capital, where they’ll look to secure qualification for the third round and a potential clash with either Club Voleibol Guaguas Las Palmas or Olympiacos Piraeus.
In Romania, Dinamo Bucuresti down Slovenian powerhouse ACH Volley Ljubljana by 3-1 (21:25, 25:18, 25:22, 25:20), with as many as 16 winning blocks (8 only from Razvan Mihalcea), 10 aces and 20 points from top scorer Mircea Peta (77% in attack, 1 block and 2 aces).
The return leg in Ljubljana on November 13 will now be decisive and, to stay alive, ACH Volley must win 3–0 or 3–1 to force a Golden Set and keep their Champions League hopes alive.
Tomorrow, Austria’s TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg will welcome Radnicki Kragujevac from Serbia while, on Thursday, Greece’s Olympiacos Piraeus will fight against Guaguas Las Palmas from Spain.
