Champions League: ACH Volley Ljubljana stay alive with a dramatic Golden-Set win against Dinamo Bucuresti

In a game that closed second leg of 2025/26 CEV Champions League Second Round, Slovenian powerhouse ACH Volley Ljubljana pulled off a thrilling comeback to stay in the race for the Pool stage, defeating Dinamo Bucuresti after a decisive golden set in their Tivoli Arena.

After losing the first match in Romania in four sets, the Slovenian champions hit back with their own 3-1 (25:13, 19:25, 25:19. 25:19) win, and that forced a decisive golden set, where they held their nerves and won 15–10.
A big moment came when captain Tine Urnaut stepped onto the court in the third set in what was his first appearance of the season after injury. His experience helped to settle the team just when things started being hard.
However, the star of the night was Tonček Štern, who tallied as many as 34 points, while middle blocker Alen Pajenk added decisive blocks and finished with 18 points, helping the winners turn the match around, especially after trailing 5–10 in the fourth set.

Backed by an excited home crowd, ACH Volley finished strong in the golden set and secured a spot in the final qualifying round.
Their next challenge is against Serbian Super Cup winners Radnički Kragujevac, with the first match on the road.
