The collaboration between Cannes and head coach Constant Tchouassi has come to an end.
The club currently sits in ninth place in 2025/26 MARMARA Spike League and was also eliminated in the round of 16 of the French Cup, losing 3-1 to Poitiers. The change aims to revitalize the team before their next match against Montpellier, scheduled this Sunday.
After the announcement of Earvin Ngapeth next season in Tours, which shocked the press, and then the arrival of Pierre Bouleau as joker medical to Plessis-Robinson, it is now Cannes to make headlines!
With five games remaining in the regular season, the club announced in an official statement the end of its collaboration with Franco-Cameroonian head coach, who arrived this summer after a season in Austria.
The 47-year-old expert, in Mende from 2014 to 2023, leaves his current in ninth place with 9 wins, 12 losses, and 26 points, three points behind eighth place and six behind sixth.
Following the heavy defeat suffered against Paris last Thursday (0-3), the club explained in its statement that this decision “aims to revitalize the team and maintain the high standards set by our project.”
Of the 14 coaches in charge at the start of the season, Constant Tchouassi becomes the fourth to be relieved. The last change in this league was on February 9th, when Paris replaced Nikola Matijasevic with Mauricio Paes. Earlier, also Mladen Kasic from Tours and Silvano Prandi, from Chaumont.
