Poland: Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie sweep Asseco Resovia Rzeszow in semifinals opener!

Semifinals of 2025/26 Plusliga started today with a clean 3-0 (25:22, 25:21, 26:24) sweep of regular season winners Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie over No.4 Asseco Resovia Rzeszow, with a great ability of the hosts to reject the rivals’ attempt to reopen the game, recovering from 19-21, in third set after an almost one-sided game.
Aaron Russell led the charge with 16 points to his name through 52% in attack, 2 blocks and 1 ace, supported by Bartosz Kwolek also in double digit with 10, while Yacine Louati tallied 11 on the other side of the net.
Game 2 of best-of-three series on Saturday, April 18, while tomorrow PGE Projekt Warszawa will welcome Bogdanka LUK Lublin in the other semifinal series.
