Panathinaikos completed a historic domestic double after defeating PAOK 1-3 (22:25, 34:32, 24:26, 20:25) in Thessaloniki to secure the Greek volleyball championship, a success that delivered them their 28th league title and their first back-to-back championship and cup double since 1985!
In a hard-fought final, the Athens club showed composure in the decisive moments of the game, overcoming a second-set setback to close out the match in four sets. Rasmus Nielsen led the charge with as many as 30 points, while Dmytro Yantschuk added 25.
PAOK, on the other hand, fought throughout the match, especially in a dramatic second set that they claimed 34-32, but the champions responded with clutch performances in the third and fourth one to seal a well-deserved title.
