After partying ways with Valsa Group Modena, a club he joined in January 2024, taking over from Francesco Petrella during the 2023/24 season, and where he remained until the end of the 2025/26 season, Alberto Giuliani was officially announced by Olympiacos.
For Italian expert, this marks a return to Piraeus after the 2022/23 season, which ended with the win of the Greek championship and the Challenge Cup, achievements that had brought the club back to the top both nationally and internationally.
After his positive experience in Greece, the coach from the Marche region worked with the Turkish national team, with Hebar in Bulgaria, and later with Modena Volley.
“I am very happy to return to Olympiacos. I have very positive feelings about working again for this club. We want to give our maximum to achieve good results next season. My heart is truly happy to work with Olympiacos, because I believe it is a great club, with a good strategy and everything needed to work well, but at the same time it is also a family,” he said after the official announcement.
Joining him from Italy is setter Michele Baranowicz, who spent last season in Cuneo.
