We are now nearing the end of the second week of VolleyBar, with the Italian national team winning the first test match in Cavalese against Turkey, 3–0 (25:20, 25:17, 25:13).
Staying in Italy, Allianz Milano has officially confirmed Japanese outside hitter Tatsunori Otsuka for the 2026/27 SuperLega Credem Banca season as well, marking his third consecutive season with the club and his first under new head coach Guillermo Falasca, who has been called to lead a deeply renewed squad strengthened by high-profile additions such as Robertlandy Simon, Santi Orduna, Basil Dermaux, and Georgi Tatarov.
More confirmations also came from Modena, which officially announced French setter Amir Tizi-Oualou for a second consecutive season, while awaiting the official signings of Slovenian opposite hitter Nik Mujanovic — a standout performer during his last two seasons in France — and middle blocker Roberto Russo, who parted ways with powerhouse Perugia after seven consecutive seasons. New faces are middle blocker Giovanni Sanguinetti from Modena, Czech opposite David Kollátor from TJ Slavia Hradec Králové in his homeland, Setter Stefano Cappadona from Castellana Grotte, libero Luca Loreti from Piacenza and French outside hitter Mathis Henno from Paris Volley.
In Poland, Plusliga’s runners-up BOGDANKA LUK Lublin announced the arrival of Japanese outside hitter Ran Takahashi, who played last season for Suntory Sunbirds in his home country.
In France, Brazilian outside hitter Victor Cardoso, last season in Turkey with the jersey of Kuşgöz İzmir Vinç Akkuş Belediyespor, joined Tours, while Poitiers confirmed German International middle blocker Lukas Maase.
…and now we’re taking another short break for the weekend!
VolleyBar will return on Monday, June 1st, 2026, as always at 8:00 PM!
