VNL 2026 : all easy for Türkiye in Gliwice in their debut of Week 2. Argentina and hosts Poland won at tie break

Second week of Volleyball Nations League 2026 started today in Gliwice (Poland), Ljubljana (Slovenia) and Orléans (France).
In first game of the day, Türkiye easily sweep China with a clean 0-3 (16:25, 19:25, 21:25) at PreZero Arena in Gliwice, completing the match in just 73 minutes.
Türkiye dominated throughout the clash, outperforming the rivals in attack (44-34) and blocks (13-2), led by opposite Adis Lagumdzija, top scorer of the match with 18 points, while Gökçen Yüksel added 15 points and Efe Bayram also contributed with 11.
China’s top scorer was Zihua Wen with just 8 points.

The days continued with the other two games ended at tie break, with victories for winless after this week Argentina and hosts Poland, in the evening.
Argentina defeated Germany in a rollercoaster match ended 3-2 (25:21, 15:25, 25:15, 18:25, 15:13), improving improved to 1-4 and 3 in the race for salvation. They are still second from the bottom, in 17th place.

Belgium controlled the opening stages, taking the first two sets 25-21 and 25-23 behind the powerful hitting of opposite Ferre Reggers, but Poland replied by dominating the third set before surviving a dramatic fourth, closed 28-26 after Belgium erased a four-point deficit and saved a series of set points.
The fifth set was equally tense, as Belgium briefly overturned the rivals’ early lead, but Bartłomiej Bołądź delivered two crucial points to create the decisive match point. After Belgium saved the first opportunity, captain Aleksander Śliwka sealed the comeback with a powerful attack off the block for the decisive 15-13 victory.
The win improves Poland’s record to three victories in five games, four of them ended at tie break!
Ferre Reggers led all scorers with an impressive 35 points, while Bartłomiej Bołądź led the winners with 24 points, well supported by Artur Szalpuk contributed 17.
