The surprising market move of Iranian star Seyed Mousavi

Seyed Mousavi has found a new club for the season 2020/2021.
All clubs from Europe have been rejected by the Iranian volleyball star , who will continue a career in his home country, in the club Saipa.

In the last season, he was a player of AZS Indykpol Olsztyn. To stay in the AZS Olsztyn team, he would have to agree to a salary cut.

β€œI was told that they could offer me a 40% cut of the contract for the next season. I could take advantage of the offer, but I decided to leave,” says Mousavi.

The club he could reach was Russian Kuzbass Kemerovo, bronze medalist of the last season, but the Serbian player Petar Krsmanović moved there.

β€œThe club had a choice between me and Serbian middle blocker. The main problem was the language barrier. Since everyone in the club speaks Russian. However, I had offers from other European teams, and the Iranian Saipa,” he added.

Recall that, recently, Saipa announced that they signed Seyed Mousavi and opposite Amir Ghafour.
