With the exception of the match postponed between Cambrai and Narbonne, Round 16 of the French Ligue A was completed today. The only team to take home 3 points is the leaders Montpellier, who easily defeats last-placed Ajaccio to which they conceded only 50 points. Amazing performance for the opposite of the Canadian national team Sclater, author of 21 points, 70% in attack, 1 block and 6 aces, but the MVP award went to the libero Alexis Gonzalez. All the other games ended at the tie-break: in the big match, Cannes won away against Tours with an excellent performance by the two middle-blockers Koncilja and Averill with 17 (with 81% in attack, 2 blocks and 2 aces) and 16 points respectively (79% in attack and named MVP of the match).
Chaumont took a while to get into gear, but then, after the entry of Alonso and Jeanlys instead of McDonnell and Herrera, the 0-2 comeback against Poitiers came. The picture closes with 2-3 between Nantes and Toulouse which, even without Faure, takes home 2 points. The fantastic performance of BartoΕ‘, 26 points, 62% in attack, 2 blocks and 1 ace wasnβt enough for Nantes.
