Austrian Volley Cup and defending champion SK Zadruga Aich/Dob put the VL quarterfinal series against outsiders VBC TLC Weiz 1-0 on Sunday afternoon. The top round winner prevailed away in three sets (29:27, 25:20, 25:17), but was not easy as espected.
Aich/Dobâs top scorers were Konrad Formela (15) and Arvydas Miseikis (13), with among the hosts Michael Pekar (18) and Sebastian Schweighofer (12).
On the quarterfinal match, VBK WĂśrther-See-LĂśwen Klagenfurt touched an upsed, forced UVC Holding Graz into a fifth set, but eventually the second in top round prevailed. Partially it was 11:25, 26:28, 25:23, 25:18, 11:15).
The top scorer of the game was Klagenfurtâs captain Simon FrĂźhbauer with 21 points, while his team mate David Petschnig scored 16. Among the guests, Lorenz Koraimann scored 15 points and Johannes Kratz 13.
