In the midst of 2023/24 season of Turkish AXA Sigorta Efelerligi, a notable player transfer: in a surprising move, Arkas Spor has released the promising outside hitter (as well as member of the Turkish national team) Mirza Lagumdzija to the rivals Halkbank Ankara.
He is the younger sibling of the well-known volleyball figure Adis Lagumdzija, currently in Italian powerhouse Cucine Lube Civitanova, runners-up of 2023 Italian Cup.
