After a major upset in which Serbia stun Brazil in Pool A, last day of 2025 FIVB Men’s World Championship Pool stage continue with Finland who stayed alive after beating Korea 3-1 in Pool C.
The winners couldn’t secure the straight-sets win that would’ve sealed qualification, but they still earned a vital result with a 3-1 hard-fought 25:18, 25:23, 17:25, 25:21 victory.
Luka Marttila led all scorers with as many as 25 points, while Joonas Jokela also proved to be decisive with 21.
For Korea, Shin Hojin kept things close with 24.

Captain Antti Ronkainen called it a huge win, adding that two victories in this tough group already mean a lot.

Finland now wait on the Argentina–France clash later tonight, and they’ll go through in nearly every scenario, except if France beat Argentina in five sets.

Meanwhile, also Belgium and Tunisia booked their spots at the top of their groups with commanding victories.
In Quezon City, Belgium swept modest Algeria 3-0 (25:22, 25:20, 25:12) to finish Pool F undefeated.
Ferre Reggers led all scorers with 19 points, while captain Sam Deroo also contributed with 15.
Tizit Farouk with 11 points was the top scorer for Algeria.
In Pasay City, Tunisia topped Pool A with a straight-set win over Egypt 3-0 (25:19, 25:18, 25:22), led by Oussama Ben Romdhane and Elyes Karamosli, who led the charge with 14 points each, while Ali Bongui tallied 13.
Seif Abed with 12 points and Ahmed Shafik with 10 points led Egypt’s desperate fight.
Belgium will next face the runner-up from Pool C, Finland, France or Argentina, while Tunisia await the second-placed team from Pool H, Czech Republic, Brazil or Serbia.
