Round 24 of 2025/26 MARMARA Spike League started today with the advance between Nice and Paris in a prequel of Coupe de France final, scheduled on Sunday, March 28 in Paris!
Despite the recovery of captain Ryley Barnes, who appeared on the bench after a long stop and entered for a couple of points in third set, the home side fought only in first set, losing the game with a bad 0-3 (24:26, 16:25, 15:25).

The team from country’s capital, who made the difference above all in blocking, scoring 11 points from this element compared to Nice’s only 1, celebrated fourth win in five games after Cannes, Chaumont in semifinal of Coupe de France and Montpellier under the command of head coach Mauricio Motta Paes!
Vasily Molotkov led the charge once again with 17 points to his name through 48% in attack, 1 ace and 1 block, well supported by Timeo Secretant who added 16 through 67%, 1 ace and 1 block too, and MVP honors.
Dawid Dulski and Shay Liberman, with 16 and 13 points respectively, were the latest to surrender on the other side of the net, but they weren’t enough to re-open a game that definitely ended after first set.
Round 24 will continue tomorrow with the clash between Narbonne and last-placed Ajaccio.
