In Italy, and more specifically in Cisterna, Filippo Federici is the new libero of Cisterna Volley, following previous spells with Vero Volley Monza and Valsa Group Modena.
There is also a new face at Itas Trentino, which has announced its first signing of the transfer window with setter Nicola Zonta, who spent last season in Serie A2 with Porto Viro. He will serve as the backup to captain Riccardo Sbertoli.
Meanwhile, Cuneo has officially signed French libero Thibault Loubeyre from Tourcoing. It will be his first experience outside France, and he will share the position with the confirmed Domenico Cavaccini.
And Italian Champions Perugia said goodbye to Czech outside hitter Donovan Dzavoronok.

In Poland’s PlusLiga, another new arrival for Norwid Częstochowa, relegated but back in the PlusLiga for next season: Danish outside hitter Mads Kyed Jensen. Interestingly, ahead of the 2024/25 season, he appeared for Rana Verona at the Janusz Sikorski Memorial Tournament, where the Italian side went on to win the competition. In the match against Norwid, the Danish player was one of Verona’s standout performers, scoring 17 points.

“PlusLiga is one of the most competitive leagues in the world. For me, the decision to play in Poland was an obvious one,” he said.

The Danish outside hitter also emphasized that continuous improvement and competing at the highest level are the key drivers behind his career decisions.

“What motivates me the most is development and constantly testing my own limits,” also addressing the Norwid supporters directly, highlighting how important the atmosphere at the club’s home arena will be for the team: “I believe we can experience a fantastic season together and earn the fans’ support through our performances.”

Asseco Resovia RzeszĂłw has bid farewell to French outside hitter Yacine Louati.
The French international represented the club during the 2023/24 and 2025/26 seasons. In the most recent campaign, Louati played 31 league matches and scored a total of 238 points: 175 in attack, 30 through blocking, and 33 from the service line. His best performance came in a regular-season match against Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, when he scored 19 points.

“Yacine proved himself to be an excellent player. From the very beginning, he brought a lot of positive energy to the team, and we could always count on his commitment and professionalism,” said Piotr Maciąg, President of Asseco Resovia.

It is also farewell time for Polish champions Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, who have parted ways with one of the key figures of their historic season, middle blocker Yuri Gladyr, and for PGE Projekt Warszawa, who parts way with middle blocker Jakub Kochanowski, one of Poland’s top volleyball stars.
During his time in Warsaw, he played a key role with his leadership, consistency, and world-class performances, becoming one of the team’s most important players.

Meanwhile, in Turkey, the foreign-player limit in the top-flight Sultanlar Ligi and Efeler Ligi will change from the 2026/27 season, allowing clubs to register six foreign players. This is a development worth monitoring, as it could have a significant impact on the European transfer market.

Halkbank has signed middle blocker Halit Kurtuluş from Fenerbahçe.

On the international stage, the Polish national team will be without Mateusz Bieniek due to health-related reasons.
France, meanwhile, celebrated its first victory of the season by defeating Belgium 3–1 in Tourcoing (29:31, 25:19, 26:24, 25:16), led by 17 points from Stephen Boyer (68% attack efficiency and 2 blocks), 16 points from Mathis Henno (55% attack efficiency, 2 aces and 3 blocks), and 10 points from Simon Magnin (83% attack efficiency, 2 aces and 3 blocks as well).
