Mevza: ACH Volley Ljubljana champions, Union Waldviertel wins the bronze!

Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel won the match for third place against Calcit Volley Kamnik from Slovenia 3:1, partially 25:18, 25:21, 23:25, 29:27 at the MEVZA League Final Four at the home court in Zwettl. A year ago, in Bleiburg, they narrowly missed the bronze medal. Now, thanks to the support of the home crowd, they made it onto the podium for the first time in history’s club. MVP of the match was Lars Bornemann, who scored 28 points.

The MEVZA League crown is for 10th time of ACH Volley Ljubljana. The Slovenian top team defended its title with a straight sets victory (25:14, 25:18, 26:24) victory over Mladost Zagreb. The Croatians were only able to make a resistance in the third set, but the winners were better in any thing. The top scorer in the final was ACH Volleys Petar Dirlic with 18 points.
