Turkey: After a good season in France, Araújo joins Arkas

The Brazilian volleyball player Rafael Araújo will play in Arkas Spor Izmir next season.
The 28-year-old Brazilian opposite was competing with Rennes, France, last season which he finished as the second-best scorer of the national championship with 483 points. He is a former Brazil National Team member with whom he won the 2013 FIVB U23 World Championship. He left his home country four years ago, playing abroad since then. While playing in Brazil, Araújo won the national championship as a teenager with Cimed.

In Arkas, he is projected to replace Adis Lagumdžija, the young star who will play in Italy, in Vero Volley Monza.
