China: Shanghai one step away from defending title, Shandong win bronze

Shanghai overhelmed Jiangsu in Game 1 of the 2019/20 Chinese volleyball Championship playoff finals, and they came to a step from defending the national title. They beat Jiangsu in four sets (25:12, 20:25, 25:15, 25:22) and need one more victory to get crowned. The Game 2 is scheduled for tomorrow.
What made the key difference in the match was the block: Shanghai made as many as 19 points under the net, of which Chen Longhai was deserved for 7. He was also the best scorer of his team with 17 points. Shanghai had 5 players in double digits in scoring, while Jiangsu had none.

Shandong won the bronze medal in the competition after beating Zhejiang in four sets (25:23, 25:23, 22:25, 25:23).
